In the 1901 Ireland County Mayo census, Patrick Gill age 80 is living in Kilsallagh Lower with his wife Mary (Frehill) 65 and their sons Austin (40) and Pat (35).  Patrick is a farmer.  Kilsallagh Lower is in the parish of Oughaval in the barony of Murrisk.

Catherine FERGUS

In the 1901 Ireland County Mayo census, Catherine Gill age 57 is living in Bellakip with her children Austin (29), Peter (16) and Anne (14).  Catherine is a farmer and is widowed.  Bellakip is in the parish of Kilgeever in the barony of Murrisk.

The assumption that Catherine is Catherine Fergus husband of William Gill come from her son Austin's birthdate of 1870 from the LDS and her son John's birthplace of Kilgeever.
